Blue Araucana

This variety of the Araucana is very similar to the Black Araucana, the main difference being that the Cock Bird has a more iridescent blue on the back and cape, the breast and belly are a dark charcoal grey with a touch of lavender thrown in.

Far from a boring colour the blue outshines any bird in our flock when the sun is shining, he looks like his feathers have been made from rainbow coloured glass, shimmering in the sunlight.
